Visitor Restrictions Due to Coronavirus and the Flu
Visitors Guidelines
Aster Sanad Hospital believes that family and friends have an important role in the patient’s care. Our visiting guidelines are designed to promote safety and security among patient, family, and staff while providing high quality patient centered care.
We recommend limiting the children visiting the hospital. The hospital allows children up to 16 years of age with an adult (at least 18 yrs old) supervision only. Visits by children under the age of 12 should be pre-approved by the unit nurse manager.
If you have a flu/ fever/ other signs of infection, we advise you to refrain from visiting the hospital.
For the comfort of all patients, we ask that you limit your visitors (2 per patient in semi-private rooms; up to 4 in private rooms; 1 in critical units.
One companion is allowed per patient in the room. It is mandatory to carry the companion pass issued at the time of admission. The companion shall vacate the room/ward when the patient is shifted to ICU. One companion of ICU patient is allowed in ICU waiting area
There are two parking lots available to patients and visitors,
•Main Parking Lot: located in front of the hospital
•OPD Parking Lot: located on the left side of the hospital
•Cafeteria and Coffee Shop: The hospital cafeteria is located in the hospital basement. Starbucks Coffee Shop is located in hospital main lobby.
•ATM: Bank machines are available in the hospital main gate and Emergency Room lobby.
•Pharmacy: The Outpatient Pharmacy is located in the OPD zone and is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week
•WIFI: Complimentary wireless internet access is available to patients and visitors for smart phones and tablets
Your care partner or family member is welcome 24 hours a day. Others are from 10:00AM to 10:00PM In critical areas such as Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), visiting hour is from 4:00PM to 6:00PM.
Cover your mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing by using tissues or the bend of elbow. Both tissues and masks are available upon request. We urge you to use them if you have a runny nose or cough, or if you are sneezing.
No animals are permitted to enter the hospital premises.
To protect the health of our patients, visitors, and staff, it is the policy of Aster Sanad Hospital to prohibit smoking in all areas within the hospital in accordance to Royal Decree No. 7/78 at 11/1/1404H and Ministry of Health regulations. A designated smoking area exterior to the hospital near the main gate provided as identified by signage. A fine of 200 SAR will be applied for any violation of this policy. If you are interested in smoking cessation, ask your healthcare provider about resources.
Make sure your family, visitors and companions wash or sanitize their hands before and after seeing you. If they are sick, please ask them to stay home.
